Description of the gîte

Situation

The agricultural estate «Domaine de la Touche» is located at Chermignac, Charente-Maritime, at the heart of the Romanesque Saintonge. The nearest town is Saintes, situated 5km away.

Chermignac is a small municipality of some 1000 inhibitants. It is 35 km away from the sea. The nearest sea resort is Royan.

The gîte

The gîte of la Touche is part of the dwelling dating back to the 16th century. It is adjoining the house of the landlords, Mr and Mrs Mallet. It is well-known for its large white-stone stairs.

The habitable area of about 200m² is spread over two storeys. The gîte is surrounded with a 800m² fenced garden.

Facilities

The gîte can host up to 17 people.

Ground floor:

The ground floor is made up of the kitchen (+/- 25 m², fully equiped), the dining room, a bathroom (with a washing machine) and the large hall opening onto the garden. The large stone stairs also starts in the hall.

First floor:

The six bedrooms are on the first floor, just like the two shower rooms.

4 bedrooms are equiped with a double bed (140cm)

1 bedroom is equiped with a double bed (140cm) and a single bed (90cm)

1 bedroom is equiped with 4 bunk beds (90cm)

All bedrooms have a wardrobe.

Garden:

The garden is totally fenced (800m²).

Garden furniture + barbecue.
